2 Hours 53 minutes

We finished in 2 hours and 53 minutes. We got up at 2:45 in the morning and walked a mile to the start and than ran and did it, even with my fibula dislocating and Kara's blisters looking, well, really gross (we took pictures at 6 miles, at 10 miles and at the medical tent at the end). We finished and we didn't cry and it felt great in a painful crazy kind of way. Kara's mom, Peg, finished 3 hours and 32 minutes and she celebrated a birthday today. She is a grandmother and she did it.
Collectively we raised close to $12,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society. How awesome is that?
All of the crazy travel plans (my husband and daughter are still not home as I type this due to weather issues in the Atlanta airport...is anyone shocked?), all the training, all the injuries we have encountered made it worth crossing that finish line.
Kara wants to run the Marine Corp in DC next October.
We'll see.

Pictures will be posted soon.
